Over the course of his life, Nathan Summers has been many things to many people, from hero to villain and everything in-between, but it's his upbringing as the prophesied messiah destined to save humanity and mutantkind that truly defines him. His controlling personality and, at times, extreme methods can cause him to butt heads with the very people he's trying to help, but underneath his grim demeanor is a man who deeply cares about others and is prepared to lay down his life for their well-being without a second thought.
